Is it normal for texting to slow down after a couple dates?

tl;dr After 2 dates, could a slower response time mean not interested (even though he reached out first following the 2nd date), or does it mean he doesn’t feel he has to put in as much effort to text since we’ve been on the two dates and another one is implied?

We’ve gone on two dates in a month (we’re both working professionals and live 45 min away). First date was very neutral, a simple lunch that lasted about 3 hours, basically just both relieved we look like our photos. Second date was a lot more intense, I ended up sleeping over but we just fooled around as I don’t enjoy sex with someone I’m not comfortable with yet. At the end of the date, he kissed me goodbye and I left. He messaged me a video later that day on Instagram regarding something we had discussed the night before. We then discussed our night and we both implied we want to see each other again without directly saying that. However, his response time has dramatically slowed down, which is fine but I want to know if it’s because he’s comfortable and feels like he doesn’t have to “chase” me to get another date or do you think it’s because he’s not interested after the last date?
