Do texts slow down after the first date?

As to my last question. I went on a first date. It seemed to go well. Anyway, he didn't text me the day after the date (but he did text me when he was home). So I presumed he ghosted me. I sent him the ghost emoji this morning and we have text alittle bit. But I'm not sure if I am over thinking or what. But I just feel like something is off. He has slowed the messages right down. I sent him a message saying I had a nice time and all his reply was 'yes, it was nice. Xxx' now I don't wanna look weird or needy but is it normal for him to slow down the messages? When we parted on the date. He said he wanted to see me again and had a kiss goodbye.

WHY doesn't your generation just pick up the phone, call your partner, and have a conversation? Are you that afraid of each other? Talk on the phone and you don't have these problems.

texting frequency varies greatly, sometimes its a lot to the point of spam, other times nothing, and everywhere in between.


Humans don't have an endless supply of topics to talk about 24/7, and sometimes people don't want to talk, they want to draw, or watch tv, or play a game, or fuck, or just cuddle.


That said, a compatible couple usually has like 10 times the amount to talk about than everyone else. But the above rules still apply.

1. Don't have high expectations at this point.
2. Do not let it bother you, do your own thing.
3. Don't do anything intimate after the 3rd date. Give him 3 to 6 months to show you how he communicate with you daily and take you out on dates. You would get to see if he's the real deal or not.

A lot of guys dont text the day after a first date out of fear they’ll come off needy or clingy. But if it’s been days and he isn’t asking to see you again, then it’s done. When a guy is truly interested, there’s no question.

Yes, we had been messaging all through lockdown and Saturday was the first time we met in person. He seemed dead keen. But its just feels odd that he would slow them down.

Well from personal experience I think this means he realized he isn't as attracted to you as he expected to be. Which is why he's kinda taking a step back. I could be wrong.

Well that's because he really did have a good time with you, but it doesn't mean he sees you as a potential girlfriend. I believe you shouldn't show anymore interest towards him for now.
