texting frequency varies greatly, sometimes its a lot to the point of spam, other times nothing, and everywhere in between.
Humans don't have an endless supply of topics to talk about 24/7, and sometimes people don't want to talk, they want to draw, or watch tv, or play a game, or fuck, or just cuddle.
That said, a compatible couple usually has like 10 times the amount to talk about than everyone else. But the above rules still apply.
1. Don't have high expectations at this point.
2. Do not let it bother you, do your own thing.
3. Don't do anything intimate after the 3rd date. Give him 3 to 6 months to show you how he communicate with you daily and take you out on dates. You would get to see if he's the real deal or not.
A lot people go on dates with different people until they decide to find the best match. Or he could be hiding something.

A lot of guys dont text the day after a first date out of fear they’ll come off needy or clingy. But if it’s been days and he isn’t asking to see you again, then it’s done. When a guy is truly interested, there’s no question.
Was it the first time he hangs with you in person face to face?
Well you dont give too much info but if you just meet him and you two had sex or did some x stuff too soon maybe he just lost interest.
Maybe he is trying not to appear to agressive by texting you right away the next morning.
He may feel you are needy or clingy. Go slower. He may want to be the initial initiator here.
I've never slowed down texting after a first date. If anything, I increased my texts
