Ghost emoji is his favorite. Mine is the one with silly face with tongue out and I use that a lot lol just trying to play it cool and silly.
My guy sometimes takes hours to reply too. Like if I message him he would check it within few minutes, then he replies back like an hour or so later.. it doesn't make any sense.
I figured he caught up on something in the middle, or he just doesn't know what to say, how to reply back so he takes his time thinking and thinking and finally send you one. Lol because Im like this sometimes.
Your guy could been just simply busy couldn't check his phone. It happens.
At least he responded. That's a good sign.

I am not sure why he is sending that and honestly it is much better if a guy just calls or video calls a girl he is into. All this texting is so easily misunderstood. Better to put more emphasis on in-person contact. If you find yourself in endless text conversations and he’s not really trying to meet up with you, he’s not that into you and possibly just using you when he wants attention.
I used to send the ghost emoji to people who were taking too long to reply but I stopped.

It is a silly emoji and guys don’t send emoji unless they want to look like someone plain. He wants to be look like he is a silly person, he is being playful in a good way. Don’t worry about it.
He might just be busy and still wants to hangout with you, or it might be he just doesn't feel the same/met someone else.
