Why guys slow down with texting after a few dates? Is that normal?

before we met up he would text me a few times a day. After first date the text graduately lessen. I would say he had lost interest and sex is all he has in mind. However he took me to 2 groups of friends which makes me think they opposite.

Also he doesn't plan things ahead anymore. I also feel like he is using "man flu" as excuse to go MIA for a few days. He got in touch again and when I told him stuff I'm having trouble with he text me A LOT to provide advice and stuff he reserached for me.

That seems caring but after he help me out he take a day to respond.. He sounds like he is still recovering from man flu, but I think most of the people would be incline to text more cos it cheers them up.

I don't know what to make out of his behavior. Any insight would be appreciated.

It sounds like he's probably talking to a bunch of girls and he's just playing the field and looking for sex. Since you won't give it you're on the back burner. He will give you just enough attention that you don't stop talking to him completely. But not enough for him to actually start a relationship or stop talking to other girls

Sorry I forgot to mention we did it. And he took me to meet just friends. He also told me he has always been monogamous. I told him me too so I think we are not seeing anyone else.

He could be lying. Well no point in confronting him right? Cos I don't think I will ever hear what I want to hear. May be just ignore him? Isk

mmm I'm not sure how can it last then.. I never initiate contact to try to respect his freedom and need of space. He does text me after a few days and been helpful by researching for solution for me when I need help... He hasn't ask me out though.. may be cos of man flu? I don't know
