How do I take the relationship with my crush to the next level?

So we have been hanging out for a while. How do I make it obvious to her that I want to be more than friends.

Ask her if she would like to go to lunch with you
Do something that involves similar interest together. Like if you both enjoy hiking, ask if she would go hiking with you.

The point her, is just to ask her, do not waste your time if she is not interested. If she is interested in you, she will say yes to go on a date with you, if she isn't interested, she will reject you.

Rejection can come in many forms and I will share how to react
If she says, "No". Just move on, she is not interested
If she says, "I am busy", aske her what day she will be free, If she responds with "I don't know" , or something along those lines, she is not interested. Just move on
If she just doesn't respond to you for a while, and then just replies with a lame excuse to why she was busy and just completely avoids answering your question. She is not interested, just move on.

With respect I think there's a big misconception here. If you want to be more than friends you never start off as friends; that sets the wrong precedent to move forward with and it's very hard to deviate from that. Make your intentions clear from the jump. If she turns you down after a day, then you know it wasn't the one to be anyways.
Given your current circumstance I would recommend you make a move, you have nothing to lose.
