Why my girlfriend freaks out when I mention physical intimacy?

i am 21 so does my girlfriend, we have been dating since 2 months and still we haven’t reached first base, whenever i initiate an intimate topic in a conversation she loose her interest in the conversation and gets annoyed and try to change the topic. what should i do to get to first base?

first of all i do support feminism and my morals would never allow me to force anyone to do anything be it good or bad. secondly, she has every aspect of the girlfriend that i could dream of without sex. thats the reason i could stick to her for such a good amount of time (backstory:- we were friends for 1 and a half year before dating and she asked me out for a date)

Please ask her what she’s looking for in a relationship. If physical intimacy doesn’t come up then you have your answer. Maybe you both just have different needs or she’s not ready.

I agree, also sounds like OP is trying to force her to allow/do something so that they can fulfill some criteria.

I didn’t get that vibe. It’s just that I was the same way in a relationship when I was 18. I liked the guy but was not looking for any thing physical.
