Because some girls just want a compliment that’s more geared towards their true beauty of their face… Like “Gorgeous” or “Beautiful”.
“Hot” or “Sexy” is more geared towards their body. It has more of a sexual connotation to it.
It feels “objectifying” kinda to always be complimented on our bodies.

I don't know I think the you're sexy works after you know the person a bit or if that's the vibe you already have - a vibe is something you can't replicate online, texting or otherwise - I remember randomly telling a girl I thought friendzoned me that she's sexy (a man who has nothing to lose is pretty dangerous right?) - Let's just say the dynamic of that relationship clearly changed.. But I wouldn't recommend it right from the start

Probably depends on what else is in her. profile, if it’s mostly pictures and not much text then that’s probably how she wants to be judged, but if there are lots of other things there she probably wants those to serve as conversation starters. Just saying you’re hot comes across as very shallow, at least that’s how I would see it.

Pretty = Really endearing, I think this is the best compliment for a woman.
Cute, adorable = Can be a turn off for some women, and this should be used to an extent. But it is still endearing.
