So, I told this guy how I feel about this situation and that I feel like he is the dealer and he's only dealt me 2 cards and I've done pretty dang good playing those 2 cards but , I'd like him to give me those 3 remaining cards.

Guys don't really speak metaphors. Reading what you wrote, I'm not sure I even really understood it, so I'm guessing he doesn't either. It can be taken a few ways - one that was mentioned by someone else about wanting a full house (marriage, kids, etc.). Another way it can be taken (the way I took it) is that he's not giving you enough of something, be it time, effort, attention, etc. If you want him to understand what you're saying, I think you're going to have to stop using this metaphor and tell him straight up what you're getting at.
