I have this friend. For anon reasons let’s call him… Willis. So Willis and I have been friends for a year, and I’ve actually been on and off in liking him. He doesn’t know though. My friends thought he liked me before we clear that up bc he already has a girlfriend.
This year it feels as though he’s stranger around me. He’s sweeter, and he compliments me. But, it’s been odd, because, again, he has a girlfriend, who I’ve become closer to. I’m the third wheel of the group. But he jokes about liking me in front of her.
I try to shrug it off as his humor, but in conversations alone he’s asked about who I’ll marry, and he’s asked if I think we’d be a good match.
One time he wanted me to admit he was good looking, but I told him “no unless I either like you or you turn into a girl overnight” bc I don’t call guys goodlooking like that and impulsive response-(this is online by the way). So maybe a week later we’re with his girlfriend and he jokes about “getting hard” for me the previous night. I feel uncomfortable, but he and his girlfriend are saying “lol” and all so I move on. But about a week later I ask him privately not to joke about that anymore. The next Monday, I get on cams and he says I look pretty.
Honestly I just need general advice. I don’t know. Every site I’ve looked at has example signs that show he likes me, but he has a girlfriend, I’m waiting till a certain age coming this year to date, and yea.. I want to stop being a third wheel, because even though they welcome me I still feel slightly uncomfortable.
I am happy for their relationship, I’ve rooted for it since I found out he like her, but I still like him.
Also, even though I’ve only been friends with his girlfriend since they’ve been together, I still value friendships, but… i don’t know. If you’re still here thanks for reading. I really hope you can give me advice please thxs
