long details* there’s a guy in class where I’ve only known for about 4 ish weeks, and I have a gut feeling he likes me but also that he’s just a super friendly person in general. I see him 2x/week. he’s def a extrovert but I think he’s also somewhat shy. here are the signs why I think he’s interested: (I’m older but I don't know if that helps)
1. says hi (my name) a lot with a wide smile
2. locks eyes with me and has a full smile (w teeth) multiple times in class across the rm
3. maintains eye contact when we’re talking the whole time
4. compliments me on my “intelligence” (im not that smart lol)
- told my lab partner he’s so lucky to work w me
5. switched seats from somewhere else to next to me (always spaced one seat apart tho)
- makes excuses to move next/close to me bc there’s plenty of seats in the rm
- but now he seems to be shy to sit right next to me and is not shy when sitting next to other girls
6. gives me raised eyebrow looks
7. asks about my career goals/remembers them, and relating to the fact that I don’t drink/smoke
8. was walking with him and another girl to the cafeteria and i trailed behind bc of an important email and he turned around to see where I went and smiled when I noticed I was behind him
9. makes jokes w me and teases me but doesn’t physically tease me like he does w other girls
10. Leans in to talk, and sometimes smiles the whole normal seeming convo
11. Outwardly mentioned he’s single
things why I think he’s just being friendly:
1. hasn’t asked to hang
2. We don’t text much (we use discord from class)
3. We don’t follow each other on social
4. And he didn’t ask for my number
5. Called me bestie
I just want to know if he likes me or not because I’m starting to like him, but I’m shy and don’t want to flirt w him if he’s not even interested, it’d be embarrassing for me and we still have 9+ weeks together. or it’s still too early to tell. Or that all this flirting he’s waiting for me to make a move? Prob not.
