Got rear-ended a few days ago. I need more info from the other person. Should I reach out myself?

I got rear-ended around the corner from my boyfriends house. I got the person's name and insurance information, but didn't think to take her vehicle make/model. I know where she lives, since she was pulling out of her driveway when it happened. I think I've found her on social media. My insurance can't continue with a claim until they have that information. Should I reach out and ask? Is that awkward or tacky? How should I approach this situation? Physically I'm ok, but my driver's side taillight is a mess.

Hopefully be your insurance company will get ahold of her and get all that stuff taken care of but yes you can do that too if you have a phone number colored say hey I need to verify the model of your car blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah you don't need to say you don't have it to say I need to verify the color the model and so on just be cool become collect if not you know where she lives drive right by there take a picture of it and there you go go have it all right there

Was a police report filed? If not, you gotta swallow and do the leg work yourself.

That said, if she wants to act the fool when you see her, call the cops and have them obtain it.

If the cops question you about how do you know where she lives, ya tell 'em she was backing out of her driveway.

You didn't get her name and info from thin air.

Yeah just ask, or go over and look yourself being you know where she lives. Or like one guy said, if there was a police report, that info should also be on it. But maybe you didn't call them?
