I prefer to date a guy that makes me joyful and not a guy that makes me feel desire cause I find that my desire for a guy isn’t consistent but my joy at being around a virtuous man is something that lasts forever. I also find my crushes on movie stars die as fast as any regular guy you stop seeing romantically, but the joy of serving God lasts forever.

Romantic feelings do not tend to fade. It might get less intense as you get older but it will always be there. The reason for divorce or breakup tends to happen when people change or can no longer tolerate each other's flaws. The survival of a relationship is based NOT on whether or not this person can give you joy, BUT on if you can tolerate each other's flaws. Nobody cares about how funny, charismatic, gentlemanly you are if you cannot admit it when you're wrong, immature, always blaming me rather than taking responsibility over your mistakes, or if you are controlling, or bad tempered.

Love tends to be passionate and extremely joyful during the beginning. Everyone is on their best behavior and try very hard to hide their flaws. But as time goes on, your mask fades and your true character and habits start coming out. This is when people start breaking up. Time also tests the relationship whether or not you both are compatible. The longer you are with this person, the more you find out about them.

Definitely not! Movies are not real life! I mean I enjoy the escape. I'll get caught up in the movie moment. I'll enjoy the feeling afterwards. But I KNOW it's nonsense.
