Do guys see this as a red flag when dating?

In a prior post I noted that while on a date a guy asked me if I had a lot of boyfriends. I responded with saying I've had 3 significant relationships in my life. Is this a bad thing to a guy and why? Or, what does my response say about me? Is it a turn off?

3 is definitely normal at 43. Yes, it's important to a guy, especially one looking for a committed relationship, to know that the woman he is with hasn't been around town with lots of guys. Not all men, but generally ones that are serious and not just in it for a one night stand.

It sounds normal considering your age. You're also being honest about it too. I would see it as a red flag if you lied about the numbers however.

Age 43, 3 significant relations, not bad these days at all. Definitely better than 1 significant relationship. So there won't be a rebound.
