No matter what I do, I always end up friendzoned, help?

I am quite shy, and I used to be even more. In the past I would have understood why I got friendzoned, I always talked to girls without teasing and not saying what I feel and had closed body language because I didn't have much confidence.
Now I kinda do, and I flirt and tease more, I tend to be more direct (not too soon though) and I am more open and funny, but I don't see change in girls answers. I do feel like I am improving a lot, and my friends and female friends notice, but still no luck with the girls I like.
by the way, I am muscular fit and well groomed, so I don't think it's due to looks.

I would go for the less beautiful ones aka the unnoticed type of girls. Then you might have a chance. You will nail it one day. It just takes some time

Have you tried to become funnier instead? It eases off the nervousity and balances the chemistry.

You could change your ways. Like, the girls who know you as a groomed fit guy. This time try to do something very new like Basketball, music. So they know you aren't boring who does always the same.

Other than that, I would be more patient and wait for more. Because there must be at least 1 who is willing to go out on a date with you and can't force anyone to reciprocate your feelings. You know?

It's not like I am saying don't be authentic and act someone you are not just for the girls. It's like find out what other hobbies you might enjoy

Dude I'm the same way. I was always shy, didn't put myself out there. Over the last 8 years I've improved my social skills. Become a more open person. Even when women have pursued me and I've given them a chance they are always the one that ended it. It's made me feel like a piece of shit.
I'm open and honest and never pushed to hard.
Starting to think I'm better off alone.
I honestly believe it's what society pushes women to think what their ideal man should look, act, and conduct himself as. I work, pay my bills, and independent and I'm not ugly maybe not sexy but not ugly.
