My boyfriend does not want me to follow him on social media. He doesn’t post anything or have any pictures of himself on it. But when A girl follows him and he follows back.

Ew red flag, get rid!!! Out of pure respect he shouldn't be following them girls back, especially if he doesn't know them!!
This is very disrespectful in a relationship and if he won't stop or at the least let you follow him why would you want to be with him? How did you not follow each other beforehand? Sounds like he is keeping his options open and isn't very committed.
