+1 yI’ll just say what I’ve experienced, I honestly feel like most men if not all (the ones who are honest) are not wanting to date single mothers.. it seems more as we get the people who are what other men consider to be “weak” nowadays. I know of someone who purposely dated single mothers just to have sex with them, he would literally manipulate women into having sex with him and later say they’re easy.. He’s a man who is very well known, has a very respectable job title, and his name carriers weight so it came by surprise to me that he had such horrible things to say.. But I will say that I’m not surprised that that’s what they will say. Single mothers are viewed as what I would call bad investments, they don’t see value in us, they think we’re easy to use and manipulate, they don’t really care for our feelings.. (but of course I’m speaking for those types of men not all men) On the flip side, there’s men who are willing to date single mothers because they’re single parents themselves or they were raised by one sometimes. (I feel like those guys are rare because none of my friends who are in the dating scene have met any of them) You’re a beautiful woman, you’re going to find someone with a beautiful heart and pure intentions for you.

+1 yJust be careful... There's some men out there that will still respect you and want to date you, and not have an issue with you having kids. There's other men that will say you're not someone to date/marry but they'd be down to fuck you.. you know the guys that assume that all single moms must be easy or desperate... My advice would be to go slow in starting a relationship/getting sexual till you know they want more than just someone to pump and dump, unless that's all you're looking for as well..

Thanks for mhg
I'm not sure. But, keep your guard up when dating though. Some guys do look at single mothers as desperate and easy to manipulate. So there is chance you might attract the worst of the worst. Also best way to think about it in general is that you and your kid are dating again. Because they do need to be in your mind all the time.
I was raised by a single mother. When she started dating it created some serious issues for my younger brother and I. Not because she was dating. Because of the men she was dating. My brother and I ended up dealing with the fallout of her dating men she shouldn't have. So in general dating can be just about you and in a lot of ways your kid still need to be your priority. Because I can say from personal experience my brother and I ended up dealing with a lot of the fallout from her bad choices in men.20 Reply

51 Reply7.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. It’s about the age of the children for most but not all men or women. Some Dads leave because of it and some singles don’t want to share you.-So, 9th grade and higher required….

+1 yI think the best thing you can do when dating as a single mom is separating your motherhood and dating life. Only introduce someone to your child or children once you are certain it's going somewhere serious. Spend the night at his place instead of yours, focus on your child when with them and focus on him when with your date.
As a parent things will always be messy, emergencies will happen. Being open about having a child while showing yourself as an individual lets them know that you have responsibilities as a parent but are still a woman. If they show signs of not understanding your parenthood or disliking having children, no matter how much you want it, that relationship will not have a future.20 ReplyHell no. Twice as much effort, twice as much (or more) people to please, and half as much time in her life, and a quarter as much priority. There's literally no benefits to dating a single mother and ALL negatives. Widows aside, there's a reason single parents (but especially single mothers) aren't considered attractive. If I wanted to deal with endless baggage, I'd work for the TSA.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIt will likely be harder for you, but not impossible. It will limit your "options". But it's not necessarily about looks either. It's about the child (ren) and what that means for the potential relationship. Just like if you were single, dating a single dad, any and all concerns you would have about that, we do also. Only difference is women I think are more willing to take the risks that way, were guys just don't want to even take the chance. Some guys. Some guys won't mind at all that you're a mother.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yYou will find plenty of man who want to screw you. You will have a hard to trying to find a GOOD man who wants to marry you though. Think about it, that child of yours will always be more important than he ever will to you. You always won’t be able to have time for him. He is essentially gonna have to be stepdad, and it will bother him that it’s not his baby. That’s just the reality. But I know men who LOVE milfs. And they have no issues with kids. They are out there. The best thing you can do is let the guy know from the beginning you have a child. Not something that you surprise him with after the second or third date.
20 Reply10.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. Depends on the mom.
And also on her kids. If they have emotional problems and are difficult to live with it doesn't matter how attractive and nice mom is.
On the other hand I had a friend who married a woman with 2 kids and he gets along great with the kids and their dad.25 Reply- +1 y
Except your friend is essentially a cuck.
- +1 y
@bamesjond0069 She made more than he does. He doesn't like babies but hers were 8 and 10 when they married. He took over the company her parents started. If you think that is a cuck you're a moron.
- +1 y
He is literally is raising another mans kid and hanging out with a guy who fucked her first. Basically a cuck.
- +1 y
The fact its financially advantageous just shows he will sell his dignity for a buck.
- +1 y
@bamesjond0069 Not everyone worries so much about their genes. He's fucking her now.
+1 yThe right guy will see you as a package deal. The maternal instinct in you to the put your babies first, should be beautiful to him. If it’s not, then maybe he ain’t as genuine as he makes out.
Not saying every guy wants to be a step dad, but don’t get entangled with someone who says one thing, but then acts another.00 Reply
+1 yAre your kids adult aged, because you should see if you can date close to your age group if you are currently robing the cradle. If your date is younger than your youngest son or daughter, try someone closer too your age. If guys older than you are calling you too old, than they are blowing smoke out of their ass, as all hypocrites do.
00 Reply2.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. Nothing wrong with having kids.
And "soccer " moms can be hot.
I didn't mind if a women I was dating had kids, as long as she and their father were getting along OK.
I would not have enjoyed being in the middle, and I understand that sometimes stuff happens.10 Reply587 opinions shared on Dating topic. Well there's a difference between being hot and being dateable, in my opinion. Personally, I would not date someone with kids because I don't want kids and I don't want any of the drama that goes with kids and/or an ex or baby daddy. But that's just me.

+1 yWell I'm a full-time single father, so a full-time single mother would be perfect for me, because we would both understand that we're busy and have priorities, and we would value our limited free time together.
30 Reply 10.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. I won't think she is specifically hot because she is a single mum its not a turn off but would have to know more about her before dating where as I wouldn't need that same level of knowing to date

she hot because of who she is not because of what she is.10 Reply2.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. If your hot your hot It don't matter if a parent or not. However if a parent you would of course need to find a guy who is okay with kids and by extension kids who are not his own.
Which there will be guys like that.00 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. You're datable... but is he planning on being the healthy masculine figure your kid needs to grow up with a safe and well adjusted perspective on life?

+1 yI only have one request my profile picture make that point very clear, don't worry you hot the thing is when you have kids you have to make yourself hot as opposed to just walking around hot.
00 Reply2.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. Most guys are not a fan of single moms, especially if they don’t have any kids of their own.

Dateable? Sorry but hell no.21 Reply- +1 y
Just think of the obvious: if a man is awesome hot financially stable perfect in every way, he will have lots of options. That man would never choose a single mom since he has so many options he can get a girl just as good as you without kids. So what does that leave? The bottom half of the barrel to choose from. While you had lots of choices of every kind of man before you won't have that choice now. Every man will have at least one substantial flaw for why he isn't out with a single woman (warning its not always obvious). You were in the new car market before and now you're at the used lot. Good luck.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yA single mom to a guy is about as attractive as a homeless guy is to a woman.
