Why do men complain about gold diggers but choose to not go for highly educated women who are financially independent?

Is it because they can’t get these types of women? So they have to settle for women who are dependent on men’s money?

Men say they are not intimidated by a woman’s job or financial status but you hardly ever see questions about this topic but almost everyday I see a post here about “why are women gold diggers” or “why do women want the guy to pay”

Like sir, take a look at the women you are dating. If you went for women who are successful they probably make more than you and wouldn’t depend on you to pay for a $100 dinner lol. Growing up around these women, I can assure you that no, it’s not all women, just the ones you can get no offense.

I do not understand. I have never seen a man avoid a woman based on her career. That is what women do. Successful men marry uneducated blue collar women. One almost never sees professional women do this.

I recently have had some financial trouble, and successful women my age avoid me like the plague (young women are okay). Successful women do not want to support a good man with a low-status job. Men expect to do this.

Gold-diggers marry men and divorce them. A poor woman who marries a billionaire is not a gold digger. If she divorces him ten years later, then she is. Successful women still want a man to support them. Sane successful women are not like this. My oldest sister’s husband is a stay-at-home dad, as is my brother. Both have been married almost thirty years with successful children.

men do not care about women’s wealth. We care about building a good family. Intelligent women do the same. Neurotic women of means only consider even richer men, then criticize the wonderful women such men marry (calling them gold-diggers). Rich women are the problem (unwilling to marry, or expecting to be taken care of). Intelligent women of means know better

Women have been socialized to "date up", and high-earning women are usually even more interested in doing this, it's just that the number of men who fit that description is relatively low. And since they're used to getting what they want, they will often expect the guy to pay for the date.

That said, these women are often very interested in hookups with guys that they would never have a permanent relationship with due to the guy's status. I once had a fling with a university professor who didn't want a relationship because I was a mere high school teacher, but she was quite happy to have sex with me.

It’s almost always broke or extremely cheap and bitter men who complain about this, and it’s all just hypothetical because no woman wants them or is after them anyway They just tell themselves that they’re choosing to stay away from women because ”women are golddiggers”, the other bitter men online says so, who are just after the money (that they don’t have). You think a golddigger would go after a random everyday dude who’s making average salary at best? Nah lol. But if the woman wish for him to sometimes pay for a coffee or lunch when they go out that means she’s a golddigger in his mind because no! He won’t pay $2.50 for her tea ever! That’s her using him and being a golddigger (in his mind), even if she pays for his stuff the next time 🤣 But, they expect women to do all or most of the household chores and childcare though. Doesn’t matter if she works fulltime, that’s her job, but nah - he won’t pay for her dinner 🤡

I have never heard a man complain of a gold digger, save for in divorce (why divorce a man so soon). Men do not expect financial support from wives. Successful men need wives with time and a living character for the home.

Why on earth do successful women seek out men who are also successful? It would be a disaster. These women should be looking for good fathers and supportive husbands, but too many are hung up on getting some kind of financial gain from a husband, when they do not need it. These women are foolish

Men usually complain about gold diggers if they're poor and can't afford to provide for her and their future family. That's a large group of men nowadays and it's not even their fault, the job market makes it so. Sadly that's also why those more successful women are not likely to be interested in them.

Those successful women are never interested in me or most men because they are too independent. Best relationships with men and women are when they both feel needed, doesn’t mean the woman has to be a goldigger though

Well these women date too! They have families and kids too just like other women. But I do agree their standards are higher but that’s because they bring more to the table at least financially so they expect the men to contribute equally to the relationship whether financially or not.

Yeah usually those guys just find women that make less because of their standards. I make just over $100,000 a year but those women act like they don’t need us for anything

Asker, your statement is absurd. A busy man needs a wife to support him and take care of the family. What does a busy woman do with a busy man? Your statement is absurd. Such women should be looking for good men with free time to take care of the household. These women are foolish to think they bring anything to the table of a successful man. He does not need money, he needs his wife’s time. Successful women would be at the bottom of the list.
