Why are some women attracted to wealthy men and seen as gold diggers?

Two of my girl friends started acting like they were sucking up to one of my guy friends when first introduced to him, because he has an elite look about him (you can tell by looking at him and how he dresses and speaks that he’s privileged).

I don’t get why some women are gold diggers; but I wonder if I’m unfair to judge them for it, when they’ve both had less privileged lives than I’ve had? Perhaps I’m not as easily impressed by money, as I’ve always had plenty of nice things and a comfortable home myself?

Some women are attracted to wealthy men because security, stability, or shared lifestyles can be appealing just as some men are drawn to similar traits in women.

Being labeled a “gold digger” often oversimplifies motives.

Attraction is complex, involving values, goals, personality, and yes, sometimes financial considerations.

The key is intention: are they genuinely connecting or solely seeking material gain? Context and character make all the difference.

People confused being attracted to successful people with being a gold digger. Why the concept of women not wanting to be with a broke loser is confusing to some people is a mystery.

It's usually about natural selection. Women will choose a man that can protect and provide. Also what could be considered better genes for her offspring.

Because many women feel that they should not have to work and earn their own money. They believe that men should take care of them and they want a rich man so they can live well.
