How tf do I find a smart guy?

I've tried to date people before but i just can't seem to have a good conversation w them… i dont expect them to know all ab quantum physics and shit but pls at least believe that planets are real (yup a guy has tried to convince me that they’re not real). Anyway i need a smart guy like.. where do i find one. I dont even wanna necessarily date him i j want someone who i can have a nice convo with

It’s really about finding someone you are compatible with.

For you that sounds like having a broad depth of knowledge, not necessarily degree smart, just someone normal with a level of intelligence where they can converse with you.

Engineers tend to tick these boxes fairly well, you have to be open minded, have a decent brain on you and the ability to chat n hold conversations.

Also the country you live in may influence the number of ‘crazies’, those that think of flat earth, planets are not real, conspiracy theories etc.

I've found some sports like Archery tend to rule out crazy people, our archery club is fairly well stocked with a lot of depth in what we chat about.

we also had a reading group at one point, a mix of various people from all walks of life, we would meet up in local pub, have a meal, couple drinks and discuss latest book we had set for discussion.

If one does not exist, a literary group can be pretty easy to set up, once you get a few girls in it, the guys follow and with it being reading and lit, then it sort of filters out a bunch of people lol.

Anyway, I can judge anyone's intelligence based on their politics. All I have to do is ask them what their politics are, and if they say something that isn't "I hate politics and they're all scumbags trying to screw us over," then they're not an intelligent human being. Maybe that can be your new "Litmus test" for intelligent people, too.

Maybe look for social activities. Imagine what a smart guy would do in free time and then go to the places where they could be in your area. For example is there a debate club, maybe go to a chess club or some other meeting points.
Maybe go for social apps, I don´t know about the US but are there any social meet up apps where you could meet groups of new people?

I feel you. I talked with a gal last week that straight up told me that "weather isn't real" (because something something /chem-trails/ or whatever I'm just like... mmm'kay I'll see myself out.

Get into a college / university if you can... small home towns aren't where people with potential stick around. Good luck.

Finding smart people to talk to seems like it's getting harder and harder to do. I think if you stop searching eventually a smart guy will find you when you at least suspect it.

There are smart sensible guys everywhere, however if you mean for potentially dating, try some local engineering hobby groups. You'll find more pragmatic minds, logical thinkers.

Im not book smart but I'm street smart, personally I feel like street smart is much more useful than book smarts, depends on the situation tho obviously.

Search for men with good degrees. Most cities have Ivy League get togethers. Crash them. Also, look for Asians. They tend to bee we smart.

I think the simplest rule to find smart people is this: either the place has no alcohol OR the place is expensive (if you can afford to be in an expensive place, you probably have a good income source and you are smart enough to have that much income)
