my friends crush isn’t interested in her and it shows, but i’m afraid to be realistic and honest. it’s just gonna make me look mean and like a negative person. but it’s also hard to let her and encourage her to continue making moves on someone who’s not feeling the same way

Friends should be able to talk to each other about this type of stuff.

it’s really easy to move from a simple crush to infatuation etc.

you don’t have to be brutal with it, just be able to open up a conversation on how it’s going with the person she is crushing over, is she really sure he’s interested and she’s not wasting her time.

This might push her from sitting back waiting to actually doing something about it.

if he’s not interested, she likely gets rejected, just be there for her, if they do not, then the chat was worth it.

Probably the best advice I can give you about this situation. You need to help her think about it on the other end. I'm pretty sure if she's been a good friend with you, that you have known of a few people that have had a crush on her and that she didn't feel the same way about. Next time that you have this conversation with her, maybe it would help to bring up those other relationships that she didn't wanna be in and remind her how much better the other persons have been since they moved off.

Also if it's too hard to let her know, let her figure it out on her own. Sometimes they have to see it for themselves in order to realize it and not make the same mistake again. You can also wait until she asks you for your advice or brings it up and then you can give your 2 cents

I’m not fully sure but she followed him a week ago. He never followed back, just got his table to look at her. Then girls questioned if she did it. But when her friend followed him, he followed back. Then afterwards, she decided to text him on Friday, it’s been a few days and she hasn’t got a reply. True, i’ll do that instead. And you’re right about the mistake thing. Thank u so much

Yeah maybe he isn't interested but sounds like it's not a for sure but if she reached out and he hasn't responded then yes it's best to let him do some work on his end if he is. You are being a great friend to her but if you think you will come out negative then just avoid it until she comes to you for advice

It is important to be blunt but not harsh. It is o. k to say something along the lines of, "I have been noticing for a while now you are trying to get his/hers attention. But they aren't responding, so it would be safe to presume at this point that they aren't interested. It would be best to just let it lay and move on". In these situation I usually start out by reminding them if your zipper is down, it's your friends that are going to tell you. Everyone else is going to talk about it and laugh behind your back.
