It's been 4 years now since we finished high school, I stumbled across her Instagram account. Any advice for how I can initiate a connection? We never talked. We Just had glances back then. Should I just send her a text telling her that I know her from high school and would like to take her out for a date? Or should I just send a friend request and see how it goes?

I’d say to send a friend request and go from there. Don’t just dive in to asking her on a date, because it’s been quite some time and you don’t know what she has going on in her personal life, whether there is someone else in the picture or if she is even interested in anything with you.
