What is a good way to text a girl first that you haven't spoken to in a while?

Long story short, there's this girl who I use to work with at the same grocery story in the same department before her family moved away and she ended up getting transferred to another store closer to where she now lives which is still in the same city (Chicago). We are really good friends and would text each other a lot even after she moved but we haven't talked to each other in like a week in a half-2 weeks and I been wanting to text her but I don't even know what to say I know just saying hey or hi could be scene as lazy and could end up killing the convo in its tracks. So, what is a good way to text her that's not just hey or hi? And what should I say after not talking for so long?

Unless you’re feeling her romantically then a week or two is not long for adult friends, so don’t overthink that aspect. You could always just say hey and ask how she’s been doing since the move. Ask how’s she’s liking the new job location and go from there.

Well I wouldn't say 2 weeks is long in friendship terms. And why hasn't she texted you? Why not just ask her how she is.
