Hypocritical friends who don’t take their own advice?

My friend is constantly getting played by guys and sleeps with guys just a few dates in, even with no date at all before putting out. She’s dating a guy now exclusively but complains that he’s not that hot. He treats her so well and I don’t think she deserves it. She’s not very nice and says mean things about people all the time. Anyway, it’s annoying.
Im naturally really shy and just getting out there, I’ve had some luck so I’m going to stay confident.
She told me I should read the book Why Men Love Bitches. Once a guy asked me to drinks and then she was like “wow he just spent that little on you?” I mean drinks to me are fine for a first date...
She is always putting guys down that I like and finding things wrong with what I do, but I at least never sleep with someone until we’re in a relationship. Whatever, to each their own. She doesn’t respect herself too much it seems and I feel weird when she gives me advice and that somehow makes me think I’m less than.

Ok so she is a toxic bitch that you should cut from your life by the sound of it but I actually dont agree at all with this idea that there is something wrong with being a hypocrite.

If you aren't advocating what you think is optimal then you are by definition giving bad or at least sub optimal advise. That doesn't mean that the person giving the advise has to do all of those things themselves, why should that matter?

Well, people are like that. Maybe you need to dump her as a friend. She doesn't sound kind. Don't let people judge you for things they do themselves. I hate hypocrites, too.
