I really don't get why people live a fairy tale life thinking booze, partying, money, and drugs solves the issue. I'm not perfect by any means but to see these people wearing the cross + around their neck representing Jesus. Jesus, never represented those values. It is a turn off for me personally. I understand weed can be used as a medical purpose. But that's only under doctor's orders where it can actually help the person. Anything that is too much can cause harm. I want to get married and if I have kids, I don't want them growing up thinking its okay to do drugs, party and drink.
I feel like parents don't do a good job raising their kids, kids get older, get influenced by bad friends and then go down a bad path. If I had to give advice to my kids I would say by the time you are in 7th grade and even up to university/college undergrad, people will pressure you do these things but they aren't your real friends so stay away from those people. People act fake and don't care if you suffer in misery with them or even worse. I don't trust people nowadays.
OMG , massive massive turn off , just as it should be , hydroponically grown dope is not something that should be just " acceptable " , its a dangerous dangerous product , well overly acceptable by too many.
Its a stepping stone to other drugs , and its far from harmless , and if you somehow think.. This guy wouldn't know? He doesn't understand , and understand I know all too well , and spent 3 full years , many years ago seeing what this does to people.
Cigarettes' are no acceptable , everyone now agrees , don't make excuses to use this sht , its never good.
Cigarettes are probly better for you anyway they boost testosterone and focus
@RandomGuy1030 Neither is GOOD , no form of unwanted smoke into the lungs , horrendous habit , and no excuses for smokers now , just horrendous -- all countries should follow the likes of Australia , particularly USA and Germany where there is far too much acceptance of this idiotic addiction. TOBACCO SMOKING.. NO WAY !
Im just saying its better than vapes and stuff. Tobacco is what it is
Id like to know if the folks passing those anti tobacco laws own any vape juice stocks.
If you asked me 4 years ago, I would have said no and I would have been willing to date someone who smoked, as I was also a smoker (weed/nicotine).
As of now, yes, it is a turn off. I changed my life around, I stopped smoking weed and nicotine, and I stopped hanging around people who did that stuff. I find it undesirable now. I don’t want someone who does it, because I have seen the ins and outs of all of it. It is unattractive and I would not be compatible with them at all.
That's great to hear.
Not if he shares 🤣

Yes. To me, that's a dealbreaker and the trait of someone who is (probably, but possibly might not be) a loser. Only if you're Rob Van Dam or some other athlete, do I give you a pass to smoke the loser grass. I'm not sorry for that either; drugs, alcohol, and self-destruction should not be celebrated in a healthy functioning society. Smoking in general is a turn-off, but weed is just SUCH a sign of a loser, to me. Maybe I'm biased due to where I grew up, but I've still never seen any successful people worth admiring with such disgusting, pathetic habits like being a drug user. The same way I've never seen any inspirational alcoholics.
@Shamalien
If you were truly happy, you wouldn't need to destroy yourself in such bad habits. I'm not trying to say I'm better than anyone, but like I explained, it's such an awful thing to see people revel in their vices and self-destructive behavior. In the past, people would want to get sober and clean their lives up. Nowadays, they just call people "ists and phobes" for pointing out their sins and vices.
@Shamalien
I said what I said. I'm not stopping you from being a drug user.
@Shamalien
No, I actually don't. I can't even stand the smell of coffee. It makes me want to puke. The only "vice" I can be accused of is eating red meat and dairy, like you implied. But the major point I brought up was the willingness to be better and not just accepting one's weaknesses as a "personality trait" like so many Millennials and Zoomers do nowadays. Which is why I certainly have been eating a lot less meat in general. (On several days a week, I only consume water or other liquids.) I'm also about to do surgery soon.
I don't have an issue with people making mistakes; I have an issue with people making excuses for their mistakes/behavior or trying to justify them. Nobody NEEDS to be doing drugs everyday. People also don't need to have porn addictions, fast food additions, spend several hours on social media every single day, etc, either. But nowadays, people would rather just shame others into accepting their bad behavior rather than improving their own lives. That's how you get stuff like Fat Acceptance and "Fatphobic" and whatnot.
Being fat is objectively unhealthy. Smoking weed is not. Weed is not some cheap product like ciggs or fast food, it’s a healing herb that people these days need more than ever. It can be abused, I’m not arguing for that, but it can be used in a very productive manner as well. Now all that being said, I’ve cut down my usage before and I’m probably going to be doing it again over the next few months, but it’s really not as bad a drug as people make it out to be
@Shamalien, Smoking anything is unhealthy, period. And comparing a stimulant (caffeine) to Cannabis, a depressant or hallucinogenic is not the same. If you can smoke weed and hold down a good job, then I’m happy you been able to make it work.
On a broader scale though, most people can’t.
I know two 21 year olds. One dropped out of college, can’t hold a job for more than 3 months at a time, lives with his girlfriends brother and smokes every day.
The other moved here out of high school to help fight wildfires, is taking intermittent college courses, works as a prison guard and just completed the law enforcement academy, making $60/yr with her own place.
I’ve seen this play out my entire life. Alcohol can have the same detrimental effects, and personally I just don’t want to date someone like that.
@DarkWinterNights what about dry herb vapes? That’s the majority of my usage. I am really hesitant to blame weed for problems. I know that if I used weed as a crutch and believed I couldn’t achieve anything because of my usage then I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m considering letting the habit go, just struggling to justify it. Alcohol is much easier to make an argument for as it really impacts my motivation. I’ve heard people say that about weed but I must disagree. I’ve never been more motivated in my entire life than when I smoked weed and didn’t drink. Ofc being high all day is retarded, but a beer at night vs a joint I can tell you which one is gunna destroy my motivation and make me lazy, and it ent the weed
@Shamalien
Maybe you're the 1% who can make it work, but in my opinion, 99% of people can't. Marijuana is used as a crutch and an excuse more than any other substance in society right now. Maybe porn is worse with people, though. Weed, alcohol, porn addiction, gambling... It makes no difference. I wouldn't want people like that in my life, dragging me down. It's a dealbreaker, for me.
100%
Smoking weed, vaping, smoking cigarettes.
TURN OFF!
I cannot stand when some idiot is there spreading their disgusting breath for everyone to see. Specially when their DISGUSTING BREATH touches me!
Those type people need to be sent to another island separate from society.
Scratch that? ANOTHER PLANET !
I find weed smokers who smoke every day over years immature. I have a friend from study time who smokes 3-5 gram hashish ever day. He is good companion for party or hanging around but I wouldn't give him a serious task to do or even expect some punctuality. He is still the guy as he was with 21, has rich parents, travels around the world, brings often some girls from abroad who don't speak any language I know. After few months as their tourist visa is over sends them back home. Zero responsibility, he is very cunning but this isn't the type of cunning like smart people are.
You sound kinda envious of this guys lifestyle.
@DrillBeats I get partners in my own kind and they are much more demanding than girls he gets. But yes, I'm envy. My parents aren't poorer but I had never financial support like he has.
I'm with someone who smokes weed and I'll be honest that's not my most favorite part about him but it doesn't make me dislike him as a person especially because in college it's way too common. I did set the hard limit that he cannot smoke around me or be around me when he is high. We've been maintaining that boundary pretty well. I once talked to him on phone when he was high and that was enough lmao. Kinda goofy and hilarious but still scared me a bit 😂😂😂
I would say it is a turn off as we may know who doesn’t smoke nowadays. I think it is a turn off when that is all they do. When they are posting about it daily, they always have to be high, smoke first thing in the morning because just like everything else there is a limit of when it’s too much.
I’m pretty neutral about it tbh. Only because a lot of the people I do know who smoke it do it just to relax occasionally and aren’t a fan of smoking, drinking or partying that usually comes with it. Do I do it myself? Hell no I hate the smell almost as much as Tabacco. But can I live with someone who does it? Sure. I’d rTher they didn’t but as long as they aren’t big on the lazy or other stereotypical lifestyle that comes with and obv no other hard drugs I guess I’m cool with it…
I'm really shocked at these answers. I felt we were finally becoming a nation that accepted weed and it's medicinal properties. I smoke Indica for my multiple sclerosis and on my REALLY bad days it can help. I would be turned off if they didn't share!!
I think the asker was referring to those who smoked for recreational purposes over medicinal
It’s not a turn off, but it’s also not a turn on.
In my mind when people smoke weed they’re doing it for themselves. The activity of smoking weed might be communal but the actual smoking of weed is for ones self.
In my book it doesn’t really dictate anything that can really determine the personality of another human being. For me if I’m going out with someone a good personality is really what im looking for. Whether they smoke weed or not doesn’t really affect that.
i smoke it a tiny bit but only once or twice in a few months its not a thing in my life also iam ok with men doing it but to much of it is bad a guy i went with a long time smoked to much and sometimes kissing him was discusting or if he breathed with his mouth open facing him it was discusting but mistly he brushes his teeth sometimes its still there a bit no one wants to kiss a stoner guy i did but the taste is horrible
Smoking ANYTHING is a NOPE! Listen I don't even hang around people who smoke ANYTHING! I don't allow it in my vehicle, in my home, or around me on a job site! If I am sitting at a table in a bar and someone who has just finished a smoke sits down ONE of us is leaving!
No, it is not because in my country people have the right to choose what they want to do in life it is their God given right as long as they are not hurting someone. I have friends that I went to High School with that are still smoking pot and that was 40 years ago and that is there right. That is one of the reasons I joined the service to protect those rights and I took an oath to defend those rights and that oath I took NEVER EXPIRES...
Not at all, weed is the best drug, better than coffee or any pill people are prescribed. I despise people who look down on marijuana while taking many drugs they don’t even consider to be drugs. Marijuana is as safe as it gets. All I’ll say is that if you’re already unmotivated and lazy it’s not for you. It’s for high energy people who need balance
I won't/don't do it, but I have girlfriends that do and like it.
To each their own. I get high off of other things :)
Weed stinks and I will always hold a negative regard for anyone smoking it. I don't care if it does get legalized.
Yep, I don’t really like men to smoke weed and I am happy my boyfriend doesn’t have bad habits like this.
However, I’ve smoked weed a couple of times in the past along with my brother.
I don't really mind since I want to join, but I separate a stoner who revolves their life around weed vs. someone who has a bit more going for their lives.
A lot of my most fun and interesting friends in the US partook in weed here and there and I'd join them, but they had their careers and passions of their own (engineers, scientists, teachers, art historians, etc). They weren't bums revolving their whole life around getting high.
Yes. Smoking of any kind is a huge turn off to me. I don't want a man that smokes. I haven't smoked a cigarette in my life.
i wouldn't date anyone who did drugs or drank alcohol or smoked cigarettes.
Too much science showing how it's bad for both the person doing it and everyone around them.
It is a turn off for me. It smells bad and most people I know that smoke week are way too obsessed over it. For something that’s supposedly not addictive there’s a ring who can’t seem to go a few days without it.
I don't really look down on people for doing weed, but if my partner was into a drug, I'd just personally prefer they were into the same stuff as me. I only like alcohol, so I'd prefer my partner also drinks.
