Is it catfishing to use pictures where you look your best on your dating profile if they are current?

The pictures are current- no weight gain or anything. I have a slight filter to make my skin glow on a couple but I think they still look like me. The photos were taken when going out-out at times where I look my best and naturally, I don’t look like this everyday.

My rational tells me that my date would have expected me to use pictures where I look my best but emotionally, I’m scared that he won’t think I’m attractive irl so am too scared to go on the date. I realise it’s stupid but I’m very new to dating.

Any encouragement much appreciated as I really need someone to tell me that’s it’s okay and to just go on the date.

Also Is anyone willing to compare them to a picture of me I took 5 mins ago in the mirror on a normal day and tell me if you’d be disappointed?

It's normal to put up flattering pictures, everyone does it! As long as it still looks like you.
I don't feel like I'm very pretty either. When I used a dating app, I put up some pictures where all my flaws were hidden and my hair looked exceptionally great. I've had a few dates and they all seemed to be pleasantly surprised when they first saw me irl.

Not trying to brag! Just saying, other people might see you differently than you see yourself. And those guys will be more than pleased if you look anything like your pics! They swiped right on you initially, so you must be their type right?

Honestly I would not worry if you are just using filters. Usually it is prettty obvious when a filter is being used.

If you are not faking photos or using other peoples photos or photos from a longgg time ago then Im sure he will not be alarmed.

I mean if you want people to look at them we are always open
