Is it disrespectful to set a date but set a specific time?

I set a date with my boyfriend for a walk around the park. He told me he’d text me tomorrow ( day of the date) to tell me the exact time. Is this normal?

For a walk in the park, I don't see the big deal with that. Assuming he/they don't want until the last minute to tell you (literally). I'm assuming he's got other things going on, and maybe doesn't have "exact" timing for them or some of them, which might be why he can't give you an exact time? But if that were me I'd tell you that and explain. But I wouldn't over think it or make any assumptions either. See what happens.
