What is the cut off time to CONFIRM a date?

If a guy asked you out and you two had a date, what is the cut off point/ hour for him to confirm the date before its too late and you should make other plans/move on?

The day of date - anytime before 3pm is good

The night before, nothing later than that.

The day of, up to an hour before the date.

Two days before or bye.
