+1 yI think that if you start the relationship too quickly, it may take off like fireworks streaming into the sky. . . but then it explodes and nothing is left. Start out too quickly and there is a possibility that you will get swept up in lust, have a brief but intense sxual relationship, and then burn out within weeks.
If you suggest a second date in less than a week, there is the possibility that your companion may suspect that you are desperate, clingy, or needy, and that may cause them to back away from you.
I like to have a first date on a Friday or Saturday night and, if it goes well, schedule the second date for the following weekend. Then I call the lady once mid week to talk for a few minutes, and confirm the date for the next weekend. I think that once-a-week pattern is good for the first 4-5 dates, which more telephone contact in between, and then we can start increasing the frequency of our visits together.

I'd say one week between successful dates is fine. Give each other enough time to plan for the second date. And because I don't go to anyplace fancy on the first date, I'd maybe plan something slightly better, but not too much. Like, the first date is a coffee shop, the second date is actual dinner (we'd go Dutch), and the third date is something for real, like an amusement park, or movies, or an arcade like Dave and Busters.

Depends on your availability. But definitely not the next day. Too obvious. Let's wait a day or two if you can.

It depends on the couple. Assuming the first date went well, the second date should be within a week, could be much earlier.

Depends on both of our schedules. Hopefully next day! But this don’t always work

My first dates were always on a Friday night. If everything went well, I tried to get together the following weekend. I’ve had pretty good success with that. I had four long-term girlfriends that way and the fifth one I ended up marrying 34 years ago!

For example, three weeks ago I went on a date, the first for years.
We both work in security and have 24/7/365 rosters.
Try getting those days off to align. 😳00 Replyu
+1 yI would say one week later, or even within that week.

If it was good then I wouldn't mind the next day. If everything goes well then the sooner the better. If everything goes badly, it will crash and burn faster.

yes next day is best

The sooner the better depending on how much of an impression you left on that other person as to how soon they want to see you again.

2 weeks is a good time, for both of y’all to start missing hanging around each other.
