not exact words like that but similarly, yes... a couple of times, friends (both men and women) have told me about someone and gave me a bit of insight about them but just that, it wasn't like "no you can't"

most notably this one time when a friend, he said to me... " No Nathan, you don't want to go there, she's insane..."

Yeah it happens. When I was younger I was told by a friend’s girlfriend I just wasn’t boyfriend material... I was “all about the fun” and not serious enough.
