I'm not into astrology, but a soulmate isn't necessarily a romantic partner. It could also be a platonic one. Someone who would help you grow into a more mature person, they challenge you and help you become a better person. A soul mate is any person who mirrors us in some way. That is why we are so drawn to these different people; they are separate entities, but something about them reminds us of ourselves. These various soul mates provide us with different purposes, outlooks and emotions.

If you are to have a soulmate it will be only one person on the whole planet. At least that is my belief. You only get to have one perfect person for you. If you think you have another than you think the 1st one isn't, therefore making the first one not a soulmate.
