Do most people who end up dating meet in a bar/club?

For years I've been told the bar is the worst place to meet a girl so I never went, but I wonder if this is a bunch of bs when you think about hoe many people go to them.

I see. I don't have much of a social life and have always been very independent, but it makes it awfully hard to meet anyone especially when girls don't like the things I do for fun. They don't care about wood working, they don't typically want to go to the offroad park, they don't ever want to go out on the boat etc.

Bars not so good, clubs a little better in my opinion but I have found real world social networking works best. Make friends with co-workers, or friends and sooner or later (may take awhile) someone knows someone who they think would make a great blind date.

Then we group date and let things go from there.

You don't need to meet someone who likes exactly what you like, overlap is good though. I love off-roading, on one of my machines, wish I had a boat but I see lots of women out there riding when I go into the mountains.

If you can't find someone who is into similar things, when you find someone that things seem to be going well, introduce them to it. They might like it.

As far as my experience goes, most couples meet in places like uni's, where they get pushed together. The other places are social clubs, like ones for drama, photography, etc.

Bars and nightclubs really are bad.

No, some people get lucky but yes I agree. Bars are the worse to meet someone with good qualities. Other than that it can happen of course

Just because someone wants to stay out late dancing and having a few drinks doesn't make them a bad person.

Well drinking leads to making dumb choice like sleeping around, cheating, arguments etc

Lol that you probably can. I know I am because I’m looking for long term commitment and marriage but I know not women are looking for that. So depending on what you’re looking for then yeah a club or bar they are more laid back

Most of the guys I have dated were a neighbor or worker at a place I visited often or a guy from college classes. I think you can meet someone anywhere if you are social and open.
