Why am I getting so jealous?

So I’m part of a friend group that my boyfriend is apart of (all guys). Anyways one of the guys introduced a new girl. She seems really sweet and all. I can’t help but realize that she is way funnier than me and more witty. She likes guy things and she dressed like an e girl. Everyone thinks she is really funny, including my boyfriend. My boyfriend is always asking when she will be online and all. I don’t know why I’m getting jealous. can you give me any advice?

This happens when you are chosen for reasons that do not hold much, if any depth. Therefore most other women become competition because they also have what you have. If there was something that substantially set you apart from all other women, and your boyfriend chose you for those reasons, it's unlikely you would be jealous.

No one said anything about anyone being worthless. I simply gave you my theory as to why I think that sort of jealousy occurs.

I think a lot of guys (assuming a similar age) will base their choice on sexual / physical attractiveness, how easily they can get on with you, accessibility and sexual compatibility. I do not believe their choices are based on much depth till they get older. There will be exceptions.

It does not mean that he will seek the same elsewhere, I just think this is why some women see another as competition.
