I’m a woman who is struggling to tell a man im not interested A few months ago a lady from work gave my number to her son without asking me. Later she told me “you better not hurt or be dating anyone else when you talk to him”

She’s a real life witch and I don’t want anything to do with her or her son. I’ve always been a people pleaser and the creepiest part she only wants me for her son because she found out I was a virgin.

He texted me a few months ago and I was trying to be nice but left him on read so he knew I wasn’t interested. But he showed up to my work and started texting me again. I don’t want to talk to him. I feel pressured and don’t know what to do. The worst part is I have to deal with the lady at work. I’m worried she might tell me “why don’t you reply to my son.”

Be honest with him. Whilst it might be hard and suck for a bit, it's the best course of action. Be straight up and just say 'whilst you're flattered, you're not interested'. If he gets persistent with you, then you can always use the excuse that you're not looking to date anyone atm. Also, if this women at work gets aggressive about it, tell a manager or even report her to HR. She shouldn't be combining her personal life/feelings with work and should be acting professionally. I hope it all works out!

Don't over think it. And "leaving him on read" was the worst thing to do. Because (like if it happened to you), leaves doubt right? Don't ghost. Directly tell him that you appreciate the interest, but you're sorry you aren't interested in dating. That's it. Nothing else needs to be said. Same with the mother, just directly tell her the truth (but not that you think she's a witch lol). "I'm sorry, I'm not interested in dating your son." Do this in a firm tone of voice. Nice still, but firm so they know you're serious and not going to change your mind or anything.
