If a potential partner made a mistake (or had one red flag) and was willing to change on their own, would you still consider them?

Let’s say you are interested in someone, but in the process of getting to know them, they did something that was an obvious red flag to you. And once you talk about it with them, their communication seems mature or well exchanged, they seem to notice their wrong, and want to “be better” or adjust things because of you. If his words eventually matched his actions over time, would you still consider them as a potential partner or not at all anymore? And if so, what “mistake” to you would be considered an immediate inconsideration?
