But dating a person is not the same as wanting or having a serious long term relationship with them... so no I would not want a long term seriously committed relationship with a high maintenance girl. Not unless she was able to do all those things for herself, and was super into a low maintenance guy without pulling any drama queen stuff on him. I mean if she wants all those things for herself and can do them for herself that great with me, as long as she does think she is doing for him. I have done it and honestly it takes a lot of work, and the pay off is not what it should be compared to the effort you put into it. But low maintenance girls to me, don't have to work so hard at being sexy and beautiful, and they are more confident about themselves and do not need all that superficial crap.

Everyone says low maintenance but I’d say high maintenance because those people are the most fun to be around they like to go out and have fun have tons of friends gather around at tons of events they like to have dinner at really good restaurants and would want you to have the best of everything, they show you around and give you great advice. They are the most prepared people I have ever met. People like to stereotype them because they’re still stuck on high school mentality but in the real world there are good people in all class levels, you just have to learn to find them.
It's not the low maintenance that attracts me - that's a plus, but not the main attractor.

I believe most guy use the term maintenance in the case of relationships is not referring to the girls lifestyle but instead the amount of effort keep the relationship in good standing. The nerdy software engineer could text a lot and easy get upset when her text are not replied to in a few minutes. And the model could layer back and just want someone relax with after a long day. So high or low maintenance is a critique of the emotion labor need to maintain the relationship.
So it depen type emotion labor and amount and emotional return.

If I want to date a high maintenance girl, I'll try and score a date with a bunch of Instagram models that live in either Beverly Hills or Bel Air,... which I know for sure as hell I cannot for the life of me match their standards little alone can I fund their maintenance "requirements".
If I was supremely beyond rich, famous and I was an extremely well-known bodybuilder, then I'm sure I can get any supremely, Instagram model, high maintenance girl and either any one of them or as much as I want, but again I know for sure as hell I can't match up to their standards nor fund their maintenance "financial needs".
High maintenance is not sexy. For some reason women seem to think that's what men want, but most of us don't. We want the woman who keeps herself in shape and who can get dressed and be ready to walk out in 20 minutes. We want the woman with short natural nails and a well-cut low-maintenance hairstyle. Hang out in a rich neighborhood and see how the women dress. They all look great because they wear well-made clothes that fit, and they have beautifully cut hair that looks great with little fuss.

This seems to be a trend not only here on the inter webs but also IRL, which leads me to wonder why so many women are so convinced they have to be or get as close as possible to being a high maintenance model.
