If a part of a date is a sports competition like a round of golf would you try to win or let your date win?

Thank you everyone for your answers. I will go out and play a round and have fun as I normally would. She may surprise me and beat me but what I’m more looking forward to is learning more about her. Everyone have a great day

I did beat her but not by much and paid for dinner anyway. Unfortunately she claims to not date Christians so there will be no more dates.

I say try to beat her and use a bit of banter during the game teasing her who’s gonna win. And if you win ask her how she’s gonna make up for it but only if you know her well and don’t ask that in a sexual way lol but could be fun. If she wins though tell her you’re impressed and go from there

I’m someone who is really good at sports things in general like I can beat people who practice most games pretty easily so when I play against a girl I generally let her win. Unless she plays that sport too say it’s golf or something if she plays golf then I’ll just try to win since she’s already used to the sport but if she doesn’t I’ll purposely play terrible and let her beat me

I would try to win. If it's golf or tennis, she will probably win anyway.

Let it be close all the way through, and then near the end just let what happens happen. That's the best way to make her feel the fun of it without looking too cocky.

Who knows? If she gets upset at losing you can gauge whether you find it cute or troubling. If she's okay with losing you'll know that for the future. She might even end up winning because you let it be so close, and then next time you can just go ahead and win. The advice extends to: in the future, try and keep your win ratio even.
