1 : I would be just a little disappointed that he hadn't mentioned it, no one particularly likes being a "third wheel" at anytime.
2: In my world friends normally communicate such things.
3: It would certainly alter my perception in knowing that this could in fact happen again, and I would be extremely wary of this.

I would of course communicate all of this in a private conversation.
