This depends on the girl and the intent behind saying that you just see them as friends!
Some people use "sorry, I just see you as a friend" as a way to reject without hurting the person's feelings, and if this is the case, they might not be interested in being your friend at all.
If they do mean it though, it still might not mean they want to do group activities with your friends.
It really comes down to the person, ask them!

That depends on the person! Some people don't like hanging out in groups, or in groups of people that they don't know that well, or maybe even some other reason I can't think of. I recommend asking them and approaching it with an open mind, what you like might not be what someone else likes :)
