My boyfriend, while on vacation told me I have a deadline to let him know about whether or not I can go on a boat ride with him. Is he being a jerk?

He said my 30 minutes deadline of giving my answer was almost up. My boyfriend is in hawaii on vacation with his family. After his hawaii trip he and I are going to meet up on his hometown to meet his parents and do vacation things. My mom and sister are following me on this trip to his hometown because my parents want to make sure I have a chaperone so I won't do premarital sex. My boyfriend is okay with me having a chaperone but prefers if it is my sister. He called me this morning and asked if I am going to the boat ride with him which he requests to just be me and my sister. He requested for my mom not to come. I told him I was going to ask my mom if she would be okay with staying back at the hotel for 2 nights while me and my sister (my chaperone) go on the boat ride with my boyfriend. He asked for me to let him know within the next two hours. He knows my mom is the type to get heaed and feel hurt if she is not invited to things. He then texted me saying my 30 minute deadline was almost up. I had to explain to my mom that she wasn't invited on the boat ride which would make her feel bad. Two hours is a short span of time to explain to her since it made her upset. He's been like this before where he would remind me that my deadline to respond to him was almost up. Is that inconsiderate of him to say?
