Do guys get triggers after a break up?

My ex and I were together 2 years and I find that little things trigger me: restaurants we went to, different liquors we liked, tv shows etc. Does that happen with guys too? Over the weekend my ex went camping with his family and new girlfriend to a place we always went to. Would that trigger him to think about me? Do guys get triggered in general?

My boyfriend used to get triggered sometimes but only from the bad memories of his ex. We went to a restaurant one time and then asked him to go painting with me (exactly what his ex did) and he got triggered bc he said she used to say mean stuff whenever they did this

Only with my first little date but you can’t let everything trigger you because what if you have a boyfriend that live with you and you went to every restaurant in town there’s no way you can overcome that because you have to eat and you have to drive down the same street and you have to go out and have entertainment
