Sure.

They ask you questions about yourself and listen for your answers. They comment on your answers. They look at you in your eyes while they speak to you. They smile. They lean forward, toward you. They touch you on your forearm, hand or shoulder for emphasis while they talk.

They laugh and smile naturally during the conversation. They buy you a drink. Meaning anything from OJ to soda. Or some peanuts or a candy bar.

If you aren't getting any of those signs, the chemistry isn't there. Retreat, retreat!!!

Thank you so much someone was doing those things to me all the time so I asked them out they then told people that there was know reason for me doing it and it was weird they lied and said that I randomly started talking to them my 'friends' just made fun of me and dismissed me thank you

Sounds to me like THEY retreated after spending more time with you. That's unfortunate. Sometimes it takes a little more time to feel someone out. And people are often dishonest when they feel embarrassed about someone they took a chance on... That person, for whatever reason, was embarrassed about you. Yuck. You dodged a bullet. Person sounds awful. Those signs don't ALWAYS work out. Some people fake it to be "nice." It's not nice to fake it. Good luck with future endeavors.

If I like a guy I will show deferent behaviour or unusual meekness around him or I will be extra nice and supportive and kind and will brag about my biggest achievements around him.
