Is this a rejection, should I let go?

So basically I ask this girl if she wanted to hang out next week and she said "perhaps" , then she followed up with this message basically saying " I might in your area soon tho because I have college friends/ family coming back ". Is this a rejection, I feel like it is but at the same time why would she say the second part. Is it?

Move on, don't waste time. She's saying if she's in the area and feels like it you *might* get a text. But that's it.

Just ignore and move on to someone who will actually respect you enough to give you a straight answer.

Not fully. But you asked her. You have done your part. Don't annoy her she might be trying to be nice and not want to hurt your feelings or she might honestly give you a date.

BUT... You done your part if she wants you then she knows you like her and the ball is in her court. Just tell her something like "alright if you want to go out just let me know" and leave her be.

the second part, to me, could mean she wants to hang out sooner or else why would she mention being in your area? i would straight up respond with: "you'll be in my area hey? would you want to meet when you are?" if she gives a wishy washy answer again then obviously she's probably not interested and just be kind and say "all good :)" and leave it.

I sincerely think she’s trying to keep you on her vicinity but she is uninterested.
Its very typical to reject and then give the last hope. I think it’s better for you to forget about her.
