How do I explain to the guy that I’m seeing that what we have is more than physical?

He says he only wants a physical relationship. Though he doesn’t want me to see any other guy. We do more then have sex. Go out on dates. We only see each other once or twice a week but talk everyday. He always wants to cuddle and be close to me. He kisses me goodbye multiple. I say we are casually dating. I think of just physical relationship as having sex and leaving. Not spending any other time with that person and definitely no cuddling

I think what you need to do is accept his decision rather than make it more because that’s what YOU want. If you are seeking a relationship, look for a man who is ready for one right now as well. You can’t take that situation and call it what you want, when he’s already telling you that it isn’t more than sex. When he’s cuddling you, kissing you long and taking you on dates, that is just him giving you enough to stick around and feel comfortable. He’s not going to be an asshole, just getting sex then pushing you out the door. Some men like to do those cozy things, but it does not mean they are ready for a relationship. Please stop delving deeper into a dead end situation. You are literally setting yourself up for some serious hurt, and it would be your own fault.

for me it is hard to just have a physical relationship without it developing further.
There is nothing more intimate than bumping pee pees, and I did marry the girl that I lost my virginity to.
Back in the 70s and 80s during the if it moves nail it period, I had a lot of one night stands, but I would still find myself wondering what it would be like to be with them in the long run.

Well be careful because the one I had, we did all those things as well, and naturally assumed we were more. But when I shared my feelings, she couldn't run (almost literally) away fast enough and it was ended and I was ghosted. So? What I've learned is you never know what the other person really thinks/feels, even if the actions say otherwise.

I did want only sex until he started treating it like a relationship. Now I want more
