I'm attracted to guys 15-22 years older than me (and not guys my age). How common is it for women to feel that way?

Is it weird that I prefer dating men who are 15-22 years older than me? Most all my friends think dating a guy that much older is super unattractive. However, I think it's pretty hot. The only downside are the ones that don't keep themselves in shape. However, the guys who keep themselves in shape and are 15-22 years older than me are by far the hottest men around (at least in my opinion). In all honesty that's the guy I want to date. I don't want to date a guy my age.

How common is it for women to feel that way? Would it be problematic if I dated guys like that? Why/why not?

data collected from dating sites and apps alone with surveys show. that most couples have a 3-15 or more age gap between them. typically the female in the younger one and the male is the older one however it can be in reverse to. so your attraction to older males is rather common since their often more mature and have extra income to spend on a partner.

side note - that same data shows most males who are 18+ tend to find. healthy females in the 18-29 range to be the most attractive. in terms of less baggage, breeding, dating, etc.

From 15 and a half to to 27 I didn't really date I was just always with them them. I would say around 18 or 19 is when we would go places together and if it was wrong nobody could ever told me that because far as that is concerned it was right into this day it is still right because it was my choice

My husband is almost 8 years older than me. I met him when I was 25 and he was 33. At first, I thought it was a little creepy, but I liked the sex and his Yukon Denali XL. lol We don't have much in common either cept cars and music. I think that astrology stuff is real. I'm a Virgo and he's a Taurus. Perfect match! lol

It’s very common. I love older men. They treat you better but don’t expect a relationship with then. Because they never want a real relationship with someone much younger. That’s been my experience.

About as cliche as can be. My mom is a year older than my dad and are happily married 35+. Why women always feel like they need to be the younger of the two, especially that many years you have here, I don't know. Sounds like it might be a bit of daddy issues here

Maybe the guys your age are not as mature as you so you like the older guys who are more mature. It's normal for that to happen.

We can't say what's normal anymore because of how internet and modern technology affects our minds.
I'm not saying you're brainwashed though, it's probably because guys of your age are, they are more emasculated than the ones from 20 years ago.

Older men are more desperate. Theyre on their best behavior. + less stress = more chill, generous, friendly etc.

But believe me I can be all of that too. The question is are you special enough to invest in. and am I too busy

Not common that's for sure especially if the woman is young and pretty. Young and pretty women who go for men that can be their dad is usually because that guy has some good money coming in.
