When I was 21 I was asked out by a 17 year old girl. At the time I felt the age difference was too much. Now I look at it and think how silly it was for me to think that. Then again I remember thinking "her dad would kill me if she brought me home". I was pretty harmless at 21. I realize not every 21 yr old guy is the same.
So to answer your question. I think this has to be taken case by case. I think If I was a 16 yr. Old's father I wouldn't be cool with it at all. 🤣

When my parents started dating in 1980, my dad was 23 and my mom 16 and no one gave that a second thought or judged it in any way. Now people would be screaming for the 23 year old to go to jail. I guess I'm bias because of my parents but I think it's fine. I know most people don't anymore.

My mom was barely 17 and my dad was 27 when they started dating then married shortly after and they're still married today. Not all adults who date minors have bad intentions like some people but it's good to really get to know them first.

yeah. because the difference in personal development is way too big. 5 years difference is not a lot if she's 30 and you're 35. but at the younger ages, that's really extreme.

When my parents started dating my mom was 15 and my dad was 24. I was 16 when I started dating a 22 year old. My parents didn't mind. As long as they are both legal, age is just a number
