Would you break up with your partner if he did this?

Me and my boyfriend are on vacation but sleep separately. He stays at his parents house and I stay at a hotel to accompany my mom who tagged along on the trip. He has been picking me up and dropping me back because he is the only one with a car, but tomorrow he is taking my mom and I to get a rental car. He and the hotel staff warned me not to put my phone near my hotel key card because it would become defective. I accidentally put the two close together. When he dropped me to my hotel room he saw my card wasn't working on the door. He yelled at me as he walked back to his car saying "You're gonna have to get a new one tomorrow!" He didn't say his usual love you or goodbye. Tonight he texted me saying he was gonna pick me up at 1030 am to get a new key card and that it was my one chance to sleep in. I responded saying Ok. Then he said "Love you too! Sleep well." Do you think he was being rude?

He was being rude and impatient. He let his emotions get the best of him and threw a bit of a fit. He could of handled things better for sure.


Is this worth breaking up over? I wouldn’t say so, unless this is an ongoing pattern and he’s not trying to fix it.


People can get emotional and make bad decisions. He sounded really upset and lashed out. He shouldn’t have, but he did.


It’s normal for people to lose their cool occasionally. But if this keeps on happening, it would be good to talk about it so that it gets addressed.


If it’s something that continues to happen even after that, you may want to reassess how important the relationship is to you. If it’s important to you, you can still try to work things out with his cooperation. If the relationship isn’t that important to you, you can cut your losses and look for someone who is more patient and level-headed.

LOL I can't read his mind. No I would not break up with someone because they one time did not tell me goodnight and they love me LOL HAHA. That is kind of funny to be honest

He was rude for sure, but something that could have easily been avoided if you listened to the staff. I would not break up. Or if you already have doubts of the relationship after such a little thing, you could break up because there may be no way you'll get through actual big arguments between the two of you.

It sounds like he was just frustrated that you didn’t follow what the staff said , but he still came through for you , so you shouldn’t be that upset , be upset at yourself for messing up the key cards lol

I say if you can't handle that, don't even consider relationships, people will not always be at their top, especially late at night when they are tired.
