Has anyone else gained a lot of covid weight and is rejoining the dating scene?

I was the opposite. When COVID hit, I immediately got sick. January 2020 I got COVID and lost about 20 lbs in two weeks. I was unable to eat without throwing up, I had no appetite, I couldn't breathe, and I literally felt like I was dying.
At that time, there was no vaccine or treatment for it. So my man took care of me until I was well again. Even after recovery, I continued to lose weight due to depression. I was used to going out almost everyday and hanging out a gaming lounge, bars, and nightclubs. Each of my favorite place closed a few months after COVID hit. I didn't get to see my friends and I was too scared to be around other people.
But you look beautiful in both pictures. Dont worry. Don't put to much pressure on yourself and take your time with your fitness goals.
Enjoy your summer!
Thank you for most helpful girl!
Yes, I went from 85 kilos to almost 100. Worst feeling ever. I lost all of my exercise I daily got my walking to the train, walking to school, going to work with my bicycle. And I ate the same way. I never imagined that it would make me gain weight like crazy.
I'm ok with being chubby and I loved the curves I had. But now I've got stretch marks on my stomach I can never get rid off. Never really had a belly until now.
But it seems like I'm the only one who has a problem with it. None of my dates seem to mind my weight. But I'm also very honest about it. In my bio I mention that I'm a plus size girl and I always put a full body picture in there.
I’ve gotten some comments about the belly and haven’t had much luck since growing it lol. I will say it sucked to buy all new clothes ugh
During Covid years I gained around 12 kg (26 lbs) and went into depression because of my body and my insecurities. I’m also an introvert and I’ve difficulties in expressing my emotions so it has been a very hard period. Plus, I’ve been out from dating scene for 10 years for other reasons.
I recollected myself last summer and I went into diet and did exercise and I lost all the excess weight. Plus, I gained a bit of confidence, so that I managed to reenter the dating scene (failing miserably, but it is another history).
I see you gained a bit, but if you feel confident and want to reenter the dating scene you’re just doing the right thing for you. I only suggest you to also think about yourself and maybe manage to regularise a bit your lifestyle, in order to gain a bit more self confidence.
Oh shit dude. I mean I got a little chubby but not that bad. I don't wanna sound negative here but if I'd find myself in this much overweight, I'd make a very dramatic change in my diet... I'd really worry that the skin won't bounce back from this and just hang off my body even if lose all of the fat.

I was gaining weight even before Covid due to non Covid health issues, but I also took most of it back off, just 10 more pounds to go to get back to my 2019 weight..
If the weight gain bothers you, work to take it back off...
I gained a fair amount, but I'm starting to work it down.
It's been more than just COVID for me, though. And it's a lot tied to my mental health.
I'm not ready to enter the dating scene, yet, got some gender identity stuff to figure out first. But I'm also treating this part as "healing" rather than weight loss.
It's not just the weight I'm trying to lose, it's the mindset, patterns, and old beliefs I'm shedding, too. And whatever comes outta my questioning, too.
I'm going for a bit of an "extreme" amount to lose, because I want to see if at a lower weight I feel more comfortable with how I present.
Yes, I gained a lot of weight during the Covid pandemic, but I'm not interested in the dating scene.
My heaviest was 207lbs at one point 😬 (alcohol was a big factor). I'm now down to 187lbs, so I'm getting there. Luckily I'm quite tall so I think that has helped prevent me from looking like Peter Griffin.
My goal is 154lbs, which is what I hope to achieve by Christmas! 🏋🏻♀️🎯
I did too! but im working it off now!
Oh wow I hate losing weight
Not at all. I've never had an issue with overeating or just eating whenver I crave for something. I only eat when I'm hungry and I work out frequently as well.
Holy shit you gained all that weight in 2 years? I didn’t think that was possible😭
I know ugh
For me it's the opposite! I lost weight and I am NOT rejoining the dating scene! 🤔
Lol is your man happy that your thinner
I am still single 😭
I gained about 11lbs but lost it this year. Thinking of starting my weightlifting journey 🫢
Uh not to be rude but that’s a lot of gain… and isn’t super healthy. I’m running and it’s helping not just to lose weight and gain some muscle, but it’s good for your heart? R u working out? If u need any tips on workouts pm me 😂
Yeah but I also kinda like the soft kind of look for me, and I’m doing fine anyways. I’m about 230+ lbs at over 5’7” so that’s class 2 obese but still. Not like I hate the look lol
If anything, people should be in BETTER shape after the lockdowns and all of the extra free time.
Free time where? Don't you have a job? Or school? I went to work on my bicycle everyday so I lost all my excersize when everything closed down. Also the gyms were closed and the parks were full of people and I wasn't really looking forward to a nice walk in the park with my whole town during covid.
@NobodyXox Wherever they normally would have went for their free time, it was likely locked down and they stayed home instead. They could have exercised then.
Yeah true. But I don't really have free time. I have two jobs, a full time study and I'm living on my own so I have to cook, clean and do groceries. When I do have some free time I see friends but I just meet them at their home like I usually do.
So nothing really changed. Just instead of going out we stayed in. Instead of clubbing I had a house party. Instead of going out for dinner I cooked for my friends.
I worked out a lot and spent the time cross country cycling so Im in better shape than before covid.
Thankfully no. I gain it before covid and failed to lose it during besides like 10lbs.
I’m jelly girly
And I love tacos
Tacos for life 😂
My belly is a testament to tacos and chick fila
No i have been keeping checks on my weight and working out to maintain it.
no, but i did buy 3000 worth of windows during the pandemic, in my room. I'm so happy with them. fucking relationships, screw them
i lost weight durimg covid, but covid was over almost 2 years ago here so I've put some of it back on.
I might be the only one who didn’t gain weight from Covid yaaaay Crohn’s disease the only perk of it
I've gained some over the last few years but unfortunately I can't blame it on Covid lol.
I've dropped a few pounds. I'd still not date.
Are u trying to lose a belly
Belly fat? Yeah
Lol I hate it
My brother brought himself some weird gym equipment lol
He thinks he'd become muscular by the time corona is 100% out
A little.
Not as much as in the picture tho.
No. But is that really you? Your belly is amazing!
