Is that the most interesting question you could generate from the whole Amber/Johnny thing? I mean, setting aside the fact she was most likely committing domestic abuse, the pairing kinda made sense initially at least: she had her youth and good looks; and he had status, wealth, and charisma.

While I don't think those should be sole determinants for choosing a partner, the reality is humans are still just hairless apes, and these respective traits appeal to our primate brains (ie: "dominant male ape seeks fertile female ape for perpetuation of the species").

Johnny is somewhat an outlier though, in that for someone of his high status position, he retains a humble demeanour and sensitivity usually not attributed to "alpha males". (Used in quote marks because the idea of alpha males has become so bastardised in modern Internet culture.) In hindsight, that could've made him more willing to overlook red flags in Amber's toxic behavior early on, and once she sunk her claws in, he probably figured he had too much at stake to just split from her. So more power to him for seeing the light and escaping that narcissist's influence.

You get all the power in your 20s early 30s, and men earn their power throughout their life.
It's like handing a woman 100 dollars at 18 and every day/month she loses some. Then men start at 0 and if they work at it, they can get to that 100. The power dynamic changes when women start to hit the proverbial wall in in their late 20s early 30s. This wall comes sooner now that women benefit from so many more options thanks to social media. Don't bite my head off I didn't make the rules.

This answer seems WAY too obvious to me. Younger is prettier, more fertile, etc? How about rephrasing the question: Why do women date someone twice their age?

I guess that's sometimes obvious too. Maturity, financial stability, etc.

males tend to date down in terms of age because younger females often have less baggage. also if their healthy younger females are often more youthful and it's easier for them to naturally have children.

females tend to date up in terms of age because older males often are more mature and have better income.

Men like beautiful women and younger women are arguably the most beautiful by nature standards.
This doesn't discredit older women. I personally like dating older women.

My question is why older women like dating younger men? Younger guys don't have the material resources and, as I've been told, the skill in bed compared to an older man. So why?

I have a Sympathy for amber. But. she choseed the johnny depp as partner. She can't say. He is older than me. If he is older than you. You can easily rejectied him. Than don't play that card. Amber's problem is. She have a lack of logical standing. I don't care about that guy and i am not a fan of johnny depp. But amber have to understand. She lost in the us court.
