Yes and no. It's certainly better than where they come from, but I don't agree we're the greatest country in the world anymore, mainly because of this:

5.3% of the population—or 17.3 million people—live in deep poverty, with incomes below 50% of their poverty thresholds.
And 29.9% of the population—or 93.6 million—live close to poverty, with incomes less than two times that of their poverty thresholds.

So, the greatest country in the world, and one of the richest, has over a THIRD of its population living below, at, or just slightly above poverty. That ain't greatness. We can do a lot better.

You answered your own question. Many other countries ARE worse. There's also a lot "public relations" being fed to people elsewhere, some of which is true. Have you traveled extensively out of the USA and talked to people in other poor nations, or people in general who are not poor? The questions I get are amazing. There is so much hype, so much misinformation about life here. People still think it's all rainbows, with work and money for anyone, and all you have to do is get here.

But whatever they hear, some places are so bad it doesn't matter. If these people even get an opportunity to leave, they pick the USA because they think they can get it. For the last 6 years, European nations have been inundated with immigrants to the point where many just shut their borders.

But yes I have been outside the United States many a Time. I also have friends from all around the world, who have all immigrated here to live in Freedom and happiness. I have friends from Ukraine Denmark Sweden Germany and Iceland. I have been to Holland Germany Africa Japan Norway Sweden the Ukraine Australia and New Zealand plus of course most of the states in the United States and also boa boa of course
