I need advice. so there's a guy I've become close with this past semester, we are both music majors and are in similar classes and in instrument ensemble together. we text often and are pretty open with one another, we get along very well. he's super kind and friendly, not to mention handsome and good looking, and I have a small crush on him, I wouldn't necessarily date him as I feel weird about it since I'm older...(unless he felt the same)
I'm confident he thinks im pretty, otherwise I seriously dont think he would continue the friendship with me, and he would not have asked me for my number after we met. AND he is a popular guy too.
but here's the thing. he is two grades below me. this next year I will be a senior in college (im 21) and he will be a sophomore (and he turned 20 this April im p sure, so a bit older for his grade).
so we are both in greek life- frat/sororities and basically there are dances/formals where you invite a guy to go with you. (it doesn't have to be someone you are dating, can be a friend) . my heart wants to take him, and my other options are nowhere near as good.
do you think it would be weird to take a guy two years grades below you? would it be worth to risk my friendship with him? i don't want to make him feel weird a) bc I'm older and b) to freak him out and make him think I'm making a move on him. I'm torn bc I think I'm good enough friends with him and he would be a hot and fun date to take, but I dont want to ruin things.
